Prach Chhoun: the best-known Chapei Dong Veng artist in Cambodia

Prach Chhoun, 75, who is the best-known artist of Chapei Dong Veng, was sent to Calmet hospital by his family by his family after he could not move on the right side of his body and could not speak out, according to Khmer-language Kohsantepheap Newspaper.

His wife, Ouk Pring, 62, said that his husband felt ill and could not move on the right side and speak out on January 01, 2011 and then his family immediately sent him to Takeo provincial hospital because presently he is living in Sromor Krom village, Khna commune, Trang district, Tekeo province.

After being hospitalized in Takeo, he is carefully treated. It is because that his sickness is getting worst and then he was sent to Calmet Hospital on the same day in order to receive treatment. Right now, he ig getting better a little bit and he can speak but could not move, stand and walk.

Prach Chhoun got married to Ouk Pring with five sons and living in Takeo province. And his family is faced with difficult livelihood and poverty. It is noticed that he has known how to pay Chapei Dong Veng since he was 8 years old. He professionally performs Chapei Dong Veng in Cambodia.
